The Yoga and Wellness Cell of National Law University Tripura organized a special session on Yoga and Wellness on 12th August 2024 under the guidance of Ms. Ankita Debnath. The program was designed to emphasize yoga not merely as a physical exercise but as a comprehensive lifestyle practice that nurtures physical health, sharpens mental clarity, and fosters emotional balance..
The practical segment of the session involved simple asanas (postures) to energize the body, pranayama (breathing techniques) to improve lung capacity and regulate emotions, and guided relaxation practices that encouraged mindfulness and inner peace. Participants actively engaged in these exercises and experienced firsthand the calming and rejuvenating effects of yoga.
This initiative reflected the Committee’s broader vision of integrating wellness into academic life, ensuring that students, faculty, and staff develop a sustainable approach to health and well-being. By embedding yoga into their daily routines, the university community can remain energized, focused, and resilient in both personal and professional spheres.
The session was received with enthusiasm and appreciation, setting a positive example of how structured wellness activities can significantly contribute to creating a balanced and supportiveacademic environment at NLU Tripura.
