NLU Tripura and District Administration, Sepahijala Organize Two-Day Exposure Tour for Girls Rescued Under Mission Sankalp Scheme

28th October 2025

The National Law University, Tripura, in collaboration with the District Administration, Sepahijala, successfully organized a two-day exposure visit for around 80 girls rescued under the Mission Sankalp Scheme. The programme, held on October 28–29, 2025, aimed to inspire, empower, and counsel young girls who have been given a new lease of life through the state government’s mission against child marriage and gender-based vulnerabilities. A motivational counselling session was held to encourage the girls to pursue education, self-reliance, and confidence-building. A key highlight of the event was a discussion on the theme “Child Marriage: A Menace for the State and Society” where NLUT’s Centre for Women and Child Rights interacted with the participants to raise awareness about the legal, social, and health consequences of child marriage.
