Tripura Hosts Collaborative Workshop on Gram Panchayat Development Plan 2025
The National Law University Tripura (NLU Tripura) in collaboration with The Rural Development (RD) Panchayat Department, Government of Tripura hosted a one-day workshop to review the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) 2025. Held at the State Panchayat Resource Centre (SPRC), A.D. Nagar, Champer Bazar, the workshop brought together 495 Panchayat Secretaries from West Tripura, Gomati, and Sepahijala districts.
Led by NLU Tripura’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) YogeshPratap Singh, and RD Panchayat Director, Mr. Prasun De, the event highlighted challenges and innovative solutions for sustainable rural development. Experts and mentors provided actionable feedback on GPDPs and strategies to achieve Local Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs).
The workshop fostered dialogue, empowering Panchayats to refine their plans and address grassroots challenges. Mr. Prasun De emphasized transforming Tripura into a national model for Panchayat development. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the Registrar of NLU, Tripura Prof(Dr.) Nachiketta Mittal, reaffirming the commitment of all stakeholders to holistic rural growth.
This collaboration marks a significant step in strengthening rural governance and development in Tripura.
