Undergraduate Programme

Under Graduate Study Program

The National Law University Tripura (NLUT) offers five-year integrated undergraduate program i.e. B.A.LL.B. (Hons.). The program is designed to equip students with a strong foundation in law and a comprehensive understanding of the social sciences. The curriculum combines legal education with courses in subjects such as Political Science, Economics, and Sociology, providing a holistic approach to understanding law in its societal context.

Note: 1. 05% seats shall be reserved horizontally for Specially Abled Persons (SAP) at the all India level according to the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

  1. Any unfilled seat(s) reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST) will be converted to Scheduled Castes (SC) and vice-versa. In case sufficient number of eligible candidates of Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes are not available in the respective category, the seats thus remaining vacant will be treated as General and will be offered to the General Category candidates in order of merit.
  2. 30% seats shall be reserved horizontally for applicants under General, ST & SC candidates under Tripura State Domicile Reservation.

Educational Qualification for Admission to U. G. Programme:

  • Successful clearance of HSC/intermediate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST)
  • Candidate appearing in the qualifying examination can appear provisionally, subject to the production of necessary qualification papers before or at the time of admission.
