The Centre for Criminal Justice & Human Rights of National Law University, Tripura, Organizes One credit course on ” Understanding the BNSS, 2023: From Crime Reporting to Cognizance”, for the students of 3rd Semester BALLB, aimed at imparting interdisciplinary knowledge on BNSS. Held between 6th of November to 8th November, 2025, the Session will focus on the following topics: –

  1. Foundations Of the Criminal Justice System
  2. Crime Reporting
  3. Arrest and Remand
  4. Bail
  5. Trial Proceedings

We are honored to have Dr. Neeraj Tiwari, Associate Professor of Law from National Law University, Delhi, as the esteemed resource person for this program. Dr. Neeraj Tiwari brings extensive academic expertise and practical insights into the evolving landscape of criminal law and procedure in India.

The course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the newly enacted BNSS, its implications for criminal justice administration, and its alignment with principles of human rights and due process.
