Objective of the Event:

The objective of the special lecture organized by the Centre for Intellectual Property Studies (CIPS), National Law University Tripura, is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the complex challenges that arise in digital marketplaces regarding trademark protection while balancing and safeguarding consumer interests. Through expert insights and practical discussions, the session aims to explore legal developments, case law, and policy considerations in reconciling the rights of trademark owners with consumer welfare, thereby equipping law students, professionals, and academics with the tools to navigate intellectual property issues in the evolving landscape of e-commerce and digital trade.
