The 79th Independence Day Celebration at NLU Tripura

August 15, 2025

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great honour and deep patriotism at NLU Tripura, commencing with a dignified flag hoisting ceremony performed by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh. In his address, the Vice-Chancellor inspired the students to diligently uphold their fundamental duties and rights as citizens of the country. He emphasized the sanctity of the Indian Constitution, reminding everyone that it serves as the foundation of all laws and provides a guiding framework for justice, equality, and democratic values in the country. The celebrations continued with a vibrant series of cultural performances by the students, including patriotic songs, traditional dances, poetry recitations, and a slogan competition on ‘Say No to Ragging.’ The overarching theme of the cultural programme was a unified message: “Azadi Ka Utsav: United in Patriotism, United Against Ragging.”
