Post Graduate Study Program

National Law University Tripura offers one-year LL.M. Degree Programme for students committed to make career in law teaching. The University offers LL.M. (one year) programme with specializations in Constitutional Law, Corporate Laws and International Arbitration.

The Course comprises 03 Foundation/Compulsory Papers (three credits each), 06 Optional/Specialization Papers (two credits each) to be notified in each semester and Dissertation (3 credits).

 Note:

  1. 05% seats shall be reserved horizontally for Specially Abled Persons (SAP) at the all India level according to the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
  2. Any unfilled seat(s) reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST) will be converted to Scheduled Castes (SC) and vice-versa. In case sufficient number of eligible candidates of Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes are not available in the respective category, the seats thus remaining vacant will be treated as General and will be offered to the General Category candidates in order of merit.
  3. 30% seats shall be reserved horizontally for applicants under General, ST & SC candidates under Tripura State Domicile Reservation.
  4. Minimum 15 seats need to be filled to start any specialization depending on the availability of resource persons.

 Educational Qualification for Admission to P. G. Programme:

  • B. degree/equivalent degree in law from a recognized University, with not less than 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST students)
  • Candidate appearing in the qualifying examination can appear provisionally, subject to the production of necessary qualification papers before or at the time of admission.

  1. The above fee structure does not include monthly mess charges. Students are required to pay the mess charges directly to the Mess In-Charge.
  2. Hostel accommodation is optional. Local and other students may opt to be Day-Scholars. Local students may be allotted hostel accommodation depending on the availability of rooms after allotment of rooms to the students who are not resident of Agartala.
