On the occasion of International Day of Yoga, the Yoga and Wellness Cell of National Law University Tripura organized a special session on 21st June 2025 exclusively for the teaching faculty. The session was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Ankita Debnath, who emphasized the vital role of yoga in promoting both personal well-being and professional effectiveness among educators.
The program was carefully designed to help teachers manage stress, maintain energy, and nurture mental balance while handling the responsibilities of academic life. Ms. Debnath highlighted how regular yoga practice can improve posture, enhance concentration, and build resilience against occupational fatigue, thereby enabling teachers to remain focused, motivated, and inspiring in their roles.
The session featured a blend of gentle asanas, pranayama (breathing exercises), and mindfulness-based relaxation techniques tailored to meet the specific needs of teachers who often spend long hours engaged in intellectually and emotionally demanding work. Participants experienced practical tools to relieve tension in the body, calm the mind, and cultivate a sense of inner stability.
The initiative was received with great enthusiasm, and faculty members expressed appreciation for the opportunity to dedicate time to their own health and rejuvenation. This program reaffirmed the Yoga and Wellness Cell’s commitment to fostering a culture of holistic well-being across the entire academic community, ensuring that both students and teachers thrive in a supportive and balanced environment.
