Ph.D. Course Work Orientation Workshop for Ph.D. 2024–25 Batch

The Orientation Workshop for Ph.D. students of the 2024–25 batch has been scheduled from 26 May-05 June 2025 to familiarize newly admitted research scholars with the academic environment, institutional norms, and research expectations of the university. The workshop aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to the Ph.D. program, covering essential aspects such as research methodology, ethics in research, publication standards, progress evaluation, and the use of academic resources and digital tools. The session will include interactions with eminent Professors, faculty members, presentations on interdisciplinary research opportunities, and guidance on framing research proposals. Emphasis will also be placed on acquainting students with administrative procedures, timelines, and institutional support systems such as libraries, research centres, and funding opportunities. In addition to academic orientation, the workshop will address mental well-being, time management, and the importance of maintaining academic integrity. It is intended to foster a scholarly community and encourage collaboration among students from diverse backgrounds.

Attendance is mandatory for all newly enrolled Ph.D. candidates. The workshop marks the first formal step in their doctoral journey and is designed to set a clear and informed path toward productive, ethical, and impactful research.
