Library is a medium through which students access various information to enhance their knowledge in different discipline. The University is committed to ensure availability of huge resources for the students to explore varied literature to understand the significance and multi-dimensional role of law in different fields of study. At present, the University carries more than fifteen thousand titles of Books and Journals put together. It also procured various e-databases which helps the students and faculties of the University to connect with the literature related to the subject available all over the world.
National Law University Tripura’s library is without doubt the University’s pride and joy. Since its inception, it has achieved highest standards which are commendable for teaching and basic research purposes. It houses a collection of 805 books, about 187 primary legal texts (such as copies of bare acts, law commission reports, etc.), and more than a hundred law reports, academic journals, and the like amounting to a total of 76 individual volumes. Particular interest to law scholars is the acquisition of complete sets of older law reports such as the Law Reports (Indian Appeals), Moore’s Indian Appeals, the Criminal Law Journal, and Calcutta Weekly Notes. Columbia Law Review, Stanford Law Review and Contemporary Problems, Lyold’ s Law Reports, etc. Unlike contemporary reports these are not readily available online, which make hard copies essential and irreplaceable.
Consequently, this collection acquired by National Law University Tripura is of inestimable value to researchers investigating legal developments of the last few centuries. The National Law University, Tripura library has Databases including, LexisNexis Advance India and DELNET.
These e-resources are also accessible by the faculty members and students outside the university campus either through VPN/Sophos or through remote login through IP Based Access. National Law University, Tripura library is also a member of DELNET which allows our students and faculty access to a wide variety of literary resources. Apart from this, National Law University, Tripura library has a subscription to an anti-plagiarism software, DrillBit for all its users along with free access to another anti-plagiarism Original through INFLIBNET exclusively for faculty members and research scholars.
