I believe that the legal education finds its genuine and true purpose when it reaches beyond the walls of classrooms and responds to the needs of the society.

The Pro Bono Club of National Law University, Tripura, reflects this belief by working towards making the legal assistance and awareness accessible to those who need it the most.

In many communities, including the ones in Tripura, a lack of awareness, proper resources and adequate representation can form a vast gap between the legally injured people and the justice system. The efforts of the Pro Bono Club seek to bridge this gap by reaching out to the underserved communities and supporting those who may have otherwise remained unheard and unnoticed.

I greatly value the involvement of our students and the faculty members in this commendable endeavor. Their engagement allows students to put their legal knowledge and skills into practice while developing empathy, responsibility and a strong sense of professional ethics. It also gives them a practical understanding of how law actually functions in the lives of people and the responsibility that comes with being a member of the legal profession.

I am very confident that the Pro Bono Club of National Law University, Tripura will continue to strengthen this culture of services and contribute towards a more inclusive, equitable and accessible justice system.

The Pro Bono Club of National Law University, Tripura, represents a meaningful effort to connect legal education with the needs of the community.

Through its legal awareness initiatives and engagement with local communities, the club works towards making legal knowledge more accessible to those who may otherwise remain unaware of their rights and its respective available remedies.

I particularly appreciate the commitment of our students, who willingly step beyond the doors of classrooms to realize the realities faced by the people of society and contribute their knowledge and skillset towards addressing them. Such efforts not only strengthen community outreach but also help the students develop a deeper sense of responsibility, empathy and professional ethics.

The continued efforts made by the Pro Bono Club will strengthen its connection with the communities and further tender its contribution towards a more legally aware and empowered society.
