Yoga and Wellness Cell

The National Law University Tripura  (NLUT) stands out not only for its academic excellence but also for its commitment to the well-being of its students. The university has established a Yoga and Wellness Cell to address the psychological needs of its students, emphasizing the importance of physical as well as mental health in the demanding field of law.

VISION

This initiative reflects the institution’s proactive approach in fostering a supportive environment for its students, recognizing the challenges they may face during their academic journey. A consultant psychologist, dedicated to supporting the emotional and psychological well-being of the student body, visits the university once in  a month. A  Yoga Instructor, will take session once in a fortnight and will support in stress management, mental health, mindfulness, healthy eating, weight loss and quality sleep

MANDATE

The following mandate is established to promote mental health and well-being among individuals through a structured set of counseling sessions, lectures, awareness programs, and wellness activities. The objective is to foster a supportive environment that encourages personal growth, emotional resilience, and mental clarity.

  • Confidential Individual Counseling Session: To provide individuals with a safe, private, and non-judgmental space to discuss personal challenges, emotional struggles, and mental health concerns.
  • Mental Health Awareness Programmes : To raise awareness and educate individuals on the importance of mental health, signs and symptoms of mental health issues, and the  resources available for assistance.
  • Self-Esteem Building Sessions: To help individuals enhance their self-esteem, self-worth, and confidence through guided exercises and expert advice.
  • Fortnight Yoga Sessions: To promote mental and physical well-being through the practice of yoga, which improves flexibility, reduces stress, and enhances mental clarity.
